SEMFA has been appointed by the Danish energy company Makeen Energy to establish new business links in the United Kingdom and selected markets overseas for its Plastcon technology for recycling plastic waste into valuable commodities. Makeen has developed a set of innovative processes, based on established pyrolysis technology, that disposes all types of plastic waste and by doing so produces a number of valuable products. These include low sulphur marine quality diesel fuel, Naphtha, Carbon Black and Gas (which is utilised partially to power the plant).

Semfa is proud to announce the expansion of the specialist team based in Germany focussing upon advanced technological solutions for the oil, gas and municipal waste sectors as well as expanding connections in new market sectors in Georgia, Azerbaijan and other surrounding countries. Dr Harald Niedermeyer and Galina Ebner, based in Berlin, have great experience in these areas as well as access to project finance where German technology and equipment is a significant part of the project. They significantly strengthen Semfa and are already working on a number of potential project within the Semfa area.
