Waste

Introduction

Turn Waste Plastics into FuelSemfa has been working in the waste sector for a number of years with various consultancy projects aimed at tackling waste in areas such as oilfield waste, land remediation, associated gas monetarisation. leak detection and now plastic municipal waste conversersion into environmentally preferable fuels and recycled chemicals.

Plastcon plastic waste processing technology from Makeen Energy

Converts Plastic Waste Plastics into Pyrolysis oil, ultra-low sulphur marine fuels, naphtha and carbon black.

Semfa is proud to announce that it is has been appointed by the Danish energy company Makeen Energy to establish new business links in the United Kingdom and selected markets overseas for its Plastcon technology for recycling plastic waste into valuable commodities.

Makeen Energy has developed a truly advanced processes, based on highly advanced Pyrolysis technology, that disposes of a wide range of plastic waste and by doing so produces a number of valuable products. These include Pyrolysis Oil, ultra-low sulphur marine quality diesel fuel (IMO 2020 compliant), other fuels, Naphtha, Carbon Black and process Gas (which can be utilised as power sources for other allied requirements).

Plastic waste is becoming a really serious problem. A proportion is incinerated (producing some energy output), but far too much finds its way into landfill or ends up littering our environment. Quite a considerable mass of plastic waste has also been exported to China and Malaysia but recently these markets have begun closed up.

Our joint proposition is to dispose of the waste in a low cost, environmentally compliant and efficient process that simply converts waste into valuable products that create income.

MAKEEN Energy is a global, market-leading corporation in the energy industry. Makeen Energy are determined to play an active role in the sustainable transformation of the energy market, and this is why they develop responsible energy solutions that make a difference to people and planet. Makeen Energy do this by enabling our partners to embrace the energy market of tomorrow, by bridging gaps between present and future energy supply and by empowering our people to innovate.

Wider municipal waste solutions

Semfa and its partners are looking at complementary technological solutions to the Plastocn system to widen the options for its activity in this sector include MSW, Medical and “Covid” related waste, landfill mining and other associated areas of environmental concern.

Oil field sludge processing

Semfa has a number of close working relationships with regards the processing of Oilfield sludge either in tanks, pits or lagoons. All the solutions are established and operating globally and now have been augmented by “state of the art processing” systems. In addition to this land remediation is available, dependent upon the area and nature of the pollution, to revert land (where possible) back to use.

A number of innovative solutions are available covering a range of options for oil field sludge

Inspection technologies to reduce waste and pollution

Semfa is working in association with LLR Global in Dubai offering a range of high-performance pipeline and tank inspection technologies for the oil, gas and water industries. This technology can significantly reduce environmental waste as well as identify leaks and corrosion in metal water mains which is a significant global problem today.

Associated gas monetisation

Semfa has been working for some time in conjunction with a team based in Kazakhstan looking at viable solutions to the serious environmental issue of associated gas from oil exploration and production. Other waste and environmental solutions are being added to the portfolio on a regular basis and will be announced accordingly
